The ILCS Glenn H. Brown Prizes
Deadline: February 15, 2006.
   Glenn H. Brown Prizes were established to advance and diffuse knowledge of liquid crystal states of matter by encouraging effective written and oral presentations of doctoral research results. 
   At the 21st International Liquid Crystal Conference to be held July 2-7, 2006 in Keystone, Colorado, USA, the ILCS will award a total of $4,000 (US) for outstanding theses (up to 4) completed between January 2006 and June 2003. Theses on theoretical, experimental and/or applied work on thermotropic, polymeric and/or lyotropic liquid crystal systems will be considered.
   Prize winners will be introduced at the opening session of ILCC 2006, give Glenn H. Brown Invited Lectures and be guests of the ILCS at the Conference Banquet.
    The Guideline for Glenn Brown Prize Nominations includes Cover Sheet information and the following:
  1. English summary of the thesis' outstanding features - at most 3 pages.
  2. Letter of nomination - at most 5 pages.
  3.  Seconds for this nomination - at most 3.
  4. Short curriculum vitae including Publications/Patents 
  5. Copy of the thesis.
 For electronic submissions (preferred) fill in the forms at  http://www.ilcsoc.org/GBPrize and  send thesis on a CD in either pdf or ps format (E) by postal mail to the ILCS Awards Administrator:
