ILCS Honored Members
Guidelines
| 1. | Honored Members are selected in recognition of their outstanding contributions that have advanced and diffused the science and/or technology of liquid crystals and which have promoted the growth and development of the ILCS. As such, they will be invited to and will actively participate in all aspects of Society business. |
| 2. | Except in special circumstances that have the approval of the Executive Board, Honored Members are selected from the membership of the ILCS |
| 3. | Honored members are ILCS members in perpetuo and will not be charged dues. |
| 4. | The maximum number of Honored Members is not to exceed 1% of the full membership as defined by the ILCS Membership Officer. |
| 5. | Candidates for Honored Membership may be proposed by a member of the ILCS. |
| 6. | Upon approval by the Awards and Honors Committee and the Executive Board, the President of the ILCS will forward an official letter of appointment on behalf of the Society. |
| 7. | In case of misconduct that clearly jeopardizes the health of the Society, its membership and/or its objectives as determined by the Board of the ILCS, the status of Honored Membership can be withdrawn by the ILCS. |
